I might be biased but.....5
I say I might be biased because I'm currently working on this TV show, and worked on a few episodes last season. On the other hand, when you work on something it's easy to become jaded. You've seen it in person, you know the actors a bit, etc.

I hadn't seen much of last season because I don't have any TV reception. I checked out a couple of episodes online and thought they were pretty good (not amazing though.) I got the DVD set the other day and watched the last five episodes. I think watching it on a good TV with surround instead of my laptop made a difference, but I have to say I think those last few episodes are really fantastic. Despite the fact that I've seen Zach, Yvonne and Adam do their thing in person many times now, I was totally transported by their characters and had no problem losing myself in the TV show. Those last episodes are quite funny but I was genuinely touched by the relationship dynamics between Chuck and Sarah.

Granted, you should take this show for what it is. It's a very silly comedy with an unbelievable premise and a lot of great spy action, cool sets and great gadgets. But in moments I think it surpasses that. My lips are sealed but season two has had some really great scripts. If you're a fan of the show you have a lot to look forward to!

Surprisingly good4
thought I was gonna hate it, wound up being a favourite. my husband and i both enjoy it immensely. witty with action and just fun to watch. takes 3 episodes to get you hooked, so be patient, you'll be glad you were

Good show... bad software4
I wanted to get caught up with this so that I could watch it later this month when season 2 premiers. The show is good, but definitely mediocre in the shadow of shows like Lost, Heroes, and the Office. It is funny, but rarely is funny enough to make you laugh aloud. The cast is kind of cheesy, but it really fits the story line. At the very least, the show keeps you entertained and really never has a dull episode.

Now that I have that out of the way... let's talk about Amazon Unbox. This is actually the second series I have bought using unbox. I have to say that the software is really disappointing. The quality of the video is good, but it encrypts the windows media video so that it is unreadable on other computers. I suppose I understand why that would be a necessity for Amazon in light of today's copyright troubles. You'll find that the software is a bit annoying when you are not watching videos. It starts itself on system startup, but to make matters worse, the only thing you can disable is the main process through msconfig. That process is merely a user-interface. There is another that maintains connection with your unbox account online. I believe it is there to download new videos as soon as you buy them (say anywhere in the world). It's a nice feature, but I don't necessarily want it running all the time. To make matters worse, the software has a terrible memory leak, and will bog down 3.5 GB of memory in a matter of a few days. You have to go find the process that's using the memory in the task manager and kill it. The other option is to restart your computer.

I guess you have to ask yourself about the value of it's features. It is a hassle, but I do think the benefits outweigh the consequences here. I just hope amazon can make a valid effort to improve the software. At the very least they should make it compatible with Linux and OSX.
